Clean Energy Center
World.Org has opened its Clean Energy Exhibition in Oconee County, Georgia. The Clean Energy Exhibition features an educational center where visitors are able to learn about alternatives to traditional energy sources and experience products that utilize renewable energy technologies. The Clean Energy Exhibition hosts multiple displays for those seeking cleaner and more environmentally sound ways in which to live. Some of the highlights from among the exhibits are a solar energy home including an underground living area, a solar-powered greenhouse, electric and hybrid automobiles, and wind and hydroelectric power demonstrations. Visitors gain an understanding of how renewable energy sources work, how renewable energy products can be used in everyday life, and how each of us can do our part in achieving a cleaner environment. Please click here for more information about the exhibition.

Georgia Nature Center
The Georgia Nature Center is located within 100-acres of mixed forests, meadows, creeks, and springs traversing a series of gentle rolling hills in Oconee County, Georgia, 20 minutes south of Athens. Now open for public tours, this land is being preserved to protect a delicate ecosystem containing hundreds of species of plants and animals. The Clean Energy Exhibition, as well as an Organic Farm and an Endangered Plant Propagation Center are also located within the Georgia Nature Center. At the propagation center, nearly 1000 types of rare carnivorous plants are being propagated for distribution to universities, botanical gardens and wetland restoration projects. Click here to learn more about the Georgia Nature Center. You can also order a few types of greenhouse-propagated carnivorous plants online.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
There are three important steps to follow to minimize the amount of materials that end up as trash in landfills:
  • Reduce - Take the time to purchase products that are packaged responsibly with a minimum of waste.
  • Reuse - Find ways to give new life to things that might otherwise end up in the trash. Use our recycling database to learn how to reuse common household items.
  • Recycle - Whenever possible, purchase products that are made from recycled materials. Sort your recyclables and take them to a local recycling center regularly.

You can view a list of dog rescue sites, cat rescue sites, and other animal rescue sites which will be included within this network.

Scientific Research into Nutritional and Herbal Therapies
World Organization is participating in the launch of a new natural health project called Wellness Review. It is widely known that many nutritional and herbal supplements can have significant medical benefits, however, it is often difficult to distinguish those nutritional treatments with a sound basis in science from those that don't work, or that can possibly even make a medical condition worse. World.Org scientists will review evidence published in peer-reviewed medical journals regarding nutritional treatments for diseases and publish them in reports to be made available to medical doctors and other healthcare professionals. Blase Harris, a medical doctor with a special interest in nutrition, serves as an advisor to Wellness Review editors. A sample report has been made available online, describing treatments for cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure, and arrhythmias.
